They may be thirsty for education but not for water. The Mvula Trust Regional Office located in Polokwane in Limpopo distributed batches of bottled water to the prospective learners who queued in long snaking rows for registration at the Capricorn TVET College.

The water was distributed at the Polokwane and Seshego campuses because that is where learners came in large numbers to register for 2018 academic year. Christopher Chaamano, The Mvula Trust’s regional director, spearheaded this initiative with a view to create convenience for learners during the registration process.

“I saw the need and thought it would be an opportunity for us as an organisation to add value by distributing water to the learners. It is hot and many people in those queues are from far-flung villages”, said Chaamano.

Chaamano added that The Mvula Trust would continue to identify areas of need with an intention to improve the livelihoods of people in the region.
